He can sound most of the words in this level easily, but when I/he say/s "tree" (or similar word), which sounds like "chree"...how should he know that it does start with tr?
Can he sound them out one letter at a time--instead of trying to sound out "tr" as a unit, can he very distinctly segment the T from the R? Then can he hear the difference?
