Comment by called2beamom on September 13, 2009 at 3:35pm - Some words might have 2 closed syllables. The only example that comes to mind are compound words like clamshell. 2 syllables - both closed. I can't think of any with 2 open syllables but I bet there are some.

Joining in… We are starting Level 2 in the next week or two. :o)
I have it all organized. I noticed that there are two open door and two closed door tags. I haven't read through the manual, but wondered if anyone could give me a quick answer as to why there are two of each. I put magnets on the back of all of them.

- Hi Sandra, what age child are you working with? What are you hoping to accomplish with extra spelling lists? You might want to start a discussion up above, I think sometimes the comments get lost & don't get as much traffic as the discussions. Hope we can help!
