Well due to her issues learning to read, we stopped doing any spelling at all. After a long break (and me selling all my stuff, which I had to rebuy oh well live and learn right?) We started back with level 1, I wanted to start from the very beginning and was amazed at how much she remembered. I set the timer for 20 minutes and we started with Step 1, she breezed through it as well as steps 2-5. She was so proud of herself and so was I. She really blew me away with how much she still remembered, like the sounds of vowels other than the short and long, her phonics program is traditional teaching short first then long, and we've not encountered any of the odd ones yet.
Anyway, I just wanted to share our great first day back.
I would like your suggestion to my daughter Suzanna Christy who is studying First standard in an English Medium School. She needs some motivation to read lessons on her own. What are the methods? Kindly suggest some methods. Thank you.
