The ChatterBee

I am teaching my 5 year old to read using Sing Spell Read and Write and she is doing very well. We started in September and she is nearly finished with the Kindergarten books so I am getting ready to start the 1st grade books. I was wanting to start AAS as well but not sure if it will confuse her. Is anyone else teaching reading with SSRW?

So far she has only learned the short vowel sounds. If I start using AAS in conjunction I'm afraid she will be confused when it comes to learning the vowel sounds for SSRW. Anyone used these programs together yet?

I haven't, but here's another thread on SSRW, I don't know if it will be helpful or not! Merry :-)

I would like your suggestion to my daughter Suzanna Christy who is studying First standard in an English Medium School. She needs some motivation to read lessons on her own. What are the methods? Kindly suggest some methods. Thank you. MBJ Pancras
